The third stage of the Stockalperweg leads from Simplon Dorf to Gondo but not through the infamous Gondo Gorge. But via "Furggu" into the Zwischbergental. On the right side of the Zwischbergental, the path leads out of the valley to the gold mines and past the ruins of the smelting works. Through a beech forest you descend on an original mule track to Gondo.
Combined with cultural highlights and an impressive alpine flora in an impressive mountain scenery, the Stockalperweg is a real experience.
