Rosswald

Located above Brig, the Rosswald sun terrace is a family-friendly ski resort with guaranteed snow in winter. In the summer and autumn months, the sunny mountain ridge is in a prominent position.
It is the starting point for hikes in the surrounding mountains. The views over the Rhone Valley, flanked by the Pennine Alps and the Bernese Alps, are worth the trip alone. You will find a playground with a bathing lake at the summit station – perfect for escaping the summer heat. In winter, the playground is used as a kid’s park with a ‘magic carpet’ conveyor belt for the little ones.

There are a number of hikes to choose from on the Rosswald mountain ridge. The three circular trails allow you to discover different corners of the alp, while the ‘36er Weg’ trail and the summit route that heads towards Folluhorn take you along former military trails. The route leading to the Bortelhütte hut guarantees a thoroughly enjoyable day of hiking.

The restaurants in Rosswald are located directly on the ski slope. In summer, they are all accessible via beautiful hiking trails with varying degrees of difficulty.
