Gold-panning adventure
In the Zwischbergental valley, you can hear the story of the gold rush and try your hand at panning for gold in the stream. The educational factor and fun are at the forefront of this day trip for the whole family.

World Nature Forum
At the World Nature Forum, you will learn all there is to know about the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage Site.
While you’re there, solve an exciting quiz course or visit the panorama cinema. Want to go up to the Jungfraujoch like in 1912? Take a look at the highlight of the exhibition, the Ambassador car of the Jungfrau Railway, and virtually experience the southern approach, which never actually materialised. The ball tracks and games at the exhibition promise plenty of fun for the whole family.
Brig is ideally located for exploring the Valais on foot with children.
One of the most beautiful and prized mountain landscapes in the world, the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site stretches from the eternal ice in the high mountains to the Mediterranean steppe landscape in the south, documenting the current climate change. The imposing north faces of the Bernese Alps are impressive testaments to Alpine mountain formation.

The Zauberwald Ernen adventure playground has its own themed trail for kids as part of the Binntal Nature Park. Nature is always the focus of play here. Brochures are available at the Brig tourist office.

The ‘Spillhiischer’ playhouses of the Stiftung Kinderwelt foundation are located in the old part of the village of Visperterminen. The interiors of five old, empty Valais barns have been lovingly transformed into unconventional play areas, with familiar objects put into a new context to train the flexibility of the memory. Six indoor playgrounds have been created here.

More informationA descent on the Monstertrottis is fun for the whole family. These giant scooters can be rented at the Unterbäch-Brandalp summit station, the Wiler-Lauchernalp summit station, various locations in the Saas Valley and elsewhere.
Rope courses/climbing parks are the perfect place for an adrenaline rush and adventure in the fresh air. Both children and parents will have fun at the parks, which are home to zip-line routes and climbing elements high up in the trees, some of which are more challenging than others. There are rope courses in Zermatt, Saas-Fee, Blatten-Belalp, Bettmeralp and Fiesch.
The whole family can enjoy themselves at the water park in the Valais.
