Via Ferrata Aletsch

closed
  • start: Blatten bei Naters, dam wall (1474 m)
  • destination: Blatten bei Naters, dam wall

The Via Ferrata Aletsch leads along the rock around the Gibidum reservoir. It is secured by iron steps, wire ropes and handrails, but still has some quite demanding sections. These are found especially on the eastern bank. On the steep rock faces of the Stockflüe, you have to really grab hold, because there are some airy and also slightly squeezing crossings.

The 80m long and 40m high Nepal Bridge, which crosses the Massa at its mouth into the Gibidum reservoir, is a particular thrill.
