The trail leads from Engeloch down to the Krummbach, over the Chlusmatte alpine relay and the following slope on the left bank of the little river "Ritzibach" up to the platform Wysse Bode. At the end of the bottom, the trail leads through a steep slope of rocky outcrops. These are overcome east of the waterfall over the ramp. Then a steep climb up the moraine to the Sirwolt lakes follows. After a well-earned rest at the upper lake, you head east over the steep scree to the upper Wysse Bode. Climb the ramp and continue through the hollow onto the ridge between Mountain Schildhorn and Mountain Wyssbodehorn. Pay close attention to the red and white markings.
The ascent to the Mountain Wyssbodehorn is rewarded by an unforgettable view over the entire Simplon valley with the Monte Leone massif, the fascinating view of the Fletschhorn north face in the west, the Valais Alps in the north and the mountain scenery of the Ossola in the south. The descent to Simplon Dorf is first pleasant and then steeper.
