The tour starts at the Hotel Monte Leone on the Simplon Pass. After a few meters on the Stockalperweg, the trail branches off to the left in front of the house. Passing the Hopsche high moor and the alpine huts, you will reach the Hopschusee lake. Enjoy a short breather on one of the wooden benches on the lakeshore. After a short detour to the Stalde you hike towards the national road and cross it. While you walk through the alpine settlement near Kulm, Lake Rotel and the hospiz appear in your field of vision. Next to the hospiz you get back to the starting point.
