Among other things, the trail leads over traditionally constructed natural stone steps and along the Driestneri-Suone.
There are also information boards along the way that discuss the hundred-year history of the Lötschberg railway line.
Shortly before you arrive in Naters, the trail passes a former underground fortress. Today it houses three museums: one on the military past of the fortress, one on the Swiss Guard in the Vatican and one on the craft of blasting, i.e. searching for crystals in the mountains.
Of course, it is also possible to complete the entire "Lötschberger Südrampe" hike from Hohtenn to Naters.
